• EM Tech: Atlantis Outlane Special

Just one last thing to do and my Atlantis is 100%. The 1000 or special outlane switch works fine when scoring, but doesn't work when collecting the special. I think it must be related to the stepper unit under the PF, but I don't see any loose wires, and all other special switches work fine (drop and standup). Any ideas?
    Thanks-
    Matt

Are you saying that the L outlane special, when lit, does not fire the knocker and advance the credit unit?

    That's exactly what is happening.

I always thought that was a strange feature on Atlantis in that when the L outlane rollover was lit for special, it would award a credit, but did not score any points in the process.
Anyway, the specific path for that circuit includes motor switch 1C (yellow & red/white wires), the outlane rollover switch itself, a make/break switch at the 9th position of the 1-9 sequence unit (red & yellow/green wires) and finally, the 15th position switch on the credit unit. The fault cannot be in the 15th position switch if the game awards credit for the other special switches, so try to inspect clean the other switches.

That's the case for all my EM's. Due to the need to run the switch
through a different set of relays.

The make/break switch at the 9th position of the 1-9 sequence unit was the culprit- wasn't making! Everything working great now.

    Thanks!
