Working on a Bally Big Game. Put in new rectifier board, all the voltages check good at test points. All the connectors have been replaced. Was not getting 5v and 12v on the solenoid driver board, 43v and 180v check good. Replaced connector J3 on the solenoid driver board, no change. Replaced solenoid driver board, no change. Unplugged everything but J4 on the MPU when checking voltages. I have no idea what to check next. Any ideas?

Do you have around 12VDC on J3 Pin 8 of the fuse panel? That is the
source for the 12VDC and then the 5VDC.

If you have that then check the plug connections and the Molex pin in
the brown connector on the right side of the regulator board. I suspect
that either the small 0.100" connector is bad or the pin has a cracked
solder connection. On the Sol/Regulator P3-12 is the 12VDC source power,
P3-10 is the 12VDC ground.

J3 Pin 8 is giving me 15v, I rewired the connector at P3 on the solenoid driver board. The solenoid driver board is a brand new Alltek board. I'll check the voltages coming into P3-10 and P3-12

I checked P3-5 and that is giving me 43vdc and P3-6 is 190vdc but I'm reading 0v at all the P3 locations that should be reading 5vdc. I am getting 6vdc out of J1-3, J1-7, and J3-6 but all 0's coming out of the P3 connector. How is that possible?

What voltage are you getting at the P3 connector (brown plug to upper
right side of Sol/Regulator board) between pin 10 and 12? You should be getting around 12VDC.

If you don't have 12VDC (ish) then you need to check for continuity
between P3 Pin 12 at the Sol/Reg and P3-Pin 8 at the Fuse plug. You may
have a bad crimp or broken wire.

If you changed the pins on P3 at the fuse connector then I would suggest
you re-examine them looking for bad crimps where the flanges of the pins
are crimped to the striped wire starting with Pin 8 wire at Plug P3 of
the fuse panel. If the pins in the connectors are Trifurcon pins, then
the way to release them is have the plug on the pin connector then push
the release tab and carefully pull the wire to pull out the connector.

Turned out the 12vdc line between the rectifier board and solenoid driver board had been "hacked" sometime in the past. I removed the spliced line and all is well. Thanks.
