Decided to give my back glass a wipe down - back and front - and noticed when I removed the 4 plastic side pieces that the actual image is a piece of plastic that is not fastened to the glass in any way. Anyhow, took the actual image part off the glass (the translite??) so I could give the glass a good clean as well and now when I placed the image back on the glass it is showing "air bubbles" across the entire image. I've tried to work these bubbles out using a cloth at first and then using a rubber squeegee to try and get the image as flat as possible against the glass and did help a little.
Question. Should I give the glass a light spray of water and then try the squeegee method again? Or will the water damage the the image? The side with the image that presses against the glass appears to be plastic so am thinking it won't do any damage but wanted to check first. Any info would be appreciated.

I'd clean the glass again. With a micro fiber cloth wipe the face of the translite to be sure it is dry. If that doesn't fix it. Then I'd remove the translite. Sprinkle talcum powder or baby powder on the glass. Then blow it all off. Then reassemble it. That should clear your static cling.
