    Hi everybody!
I just get two bingos from '75 and from'78. Both is a "barn" rescued. Hawaii and Galaxy. The Galaxy has some missing parts including the main motor, but the Hawaii is in good shape. Probably they wasnt in use ~10 years... The Hawaii is greasy and i need to clean out well. I plugged in and nothing happenes... No lights no nothing. Can be the connections are not the best between the top and the bottom part? Some wires was loose, but i figured out where should be and weld it back, but i still have 3 wires what is loose, wich is coming from the score side and coming thru next to the transformator... Im a beginner with these bingos, but not with electronic...:) Can anyone help me out a bit, before i make my first wrong move with it?😂
    Thank you!
    David

Hey David, sounds like you have some fuse issues or issues with the plug for the transformer. Make sure that your game is unplugged and then check the 120V line fuse and the plug directly beside the transformer. If the plug is dirty, be sure to give it a good scrub down with a green scotch-brite pad or something similar. The loose wires are more than a bit concerning - any idea where they might go? If not, look at the documentation for your game at bingo.cdyn.com and see if you can figure out based on wire color.
Give the female part of the plug a gently squeeze on each pair of pins before reinserting the male portion.
The fuse holders that Bally used are very prone to losing spring tension as the heat builds up, warps the board to which they are attached, and pulls the clips apart. Also, sometimes people use way too much force with the delicate clips and one or more break.
Ensure that the clips are present on the 120V line, then ensure the fuse is OK, then start looking at the next thing - the 6V fuses which handle the bulbs. It's possible that all or almost every lamp in the game is blown. If someone connected coil voltage to the common rail on the lamps, this can happen in an instant. Far more likely is that the fuse clips are to blame. In Hawaii, there will be 2 or 3 fuse holders for the lamps (@ 6.3V). Check each of those.
If you find any issues with the fuse block at all, I would suggest that you replace it. Modern fuse holders will not give you any problem and will eliminate a potentially large source of problems.
    Good luck!

Just in case you are unaware, the on/off switch is located underneath the right front of the playfield cabinet.

That's a much better starting point...

    Hi guys,
Sorry, just i didn't had time, but today was the day when i make a lot in this bingo. The all missing parts are replaced and everything cleaned out. So the switch and the fuses are good, but this bingo was working with a phone on the side for give in money, but that is removed. I think from that i have that 4 wires for those i don't have any clue where they going... And still standing like didn't plugged in. Unfortunately i don't have my multimeter with me, just i have this phase screw driver at the moment, and i see phase almost everywhere. I think have problem with the earth or with the transformator. I checked the bulbs and most of them are still good.
What you guys think about this?
    Thank you
    Grts David

    Hi David,
I'm sorry, I don't understand the question. If you don't have a multimeter, then the fuses might not be good. Also, the fuse holders can be too weak, which I referenced in my initial post. Regardless, you'll need a meter in order to test the power going into/coming out of the transformer.
    Try a different outlet?
