Thank you VERY MUCH for helping me with my lighting problems. All fixed now.
Switch Diagnostics tells me I seem to have a short or ground problem in a column, or row.
"Trough 1" #11
"Trough 2" #12
"Trough 3" #13
All three are errors in the Diagnostics Switch Test.
None of it makes much sense to me because there's only one ball trough on Earthshaker, (not three) -and the ball mechanics and solenoid operation work flawlessly. I'd still like to clear the errors, if I just knew what (and where) I should be searching. I am assuming it is under the playfield. I really have no idea since the manual doesn't show the location. I'm very confused.
I am trying to fix my Center Ramp Entry Switch #44. It's dead. I thought I'd start by replacing the resistor. I need help with the specifications for a replacement resistor. What do I order? Is there a good source for the resistor? AND/OR - I'd like to order a replacement switch if one is still available? Do you know a source for a replacement switch assembly?
And just as a point of conversation, I don't know if any of you have ever had to service the left (blue) pop bumper on Earthshaker, but to get to it you have to remove the entire left side of the Roadway Ramp to access it. (Even for just a bulb replacement) I'd like to put a brighter LED bulb in that thing. Maybe there's a shortcut. Somehow- I doubt it.
Thanks for your help.
Thanks Tony! Great information! That helps me out so much! That was everything I needed to understand! I appreciate you! Have a great day!Agree with Tony
That bumper lamp is difficult to get to. That ramp has to come up but is covered by the skill ramp which is screwed to the playfield at it's entrance - under the splitting california stuff. This may be one of the most never replaced burned out lamps in pinball. It wasn't that bad. IT WAS FAR WORSE. It took me all day (all day long) to strip the playfield. But now... it's done, and I can order LED's, rubbers, plastics, fix that dim pop bumper, and do it right.
