I got a service call on an old Gottlieb Spiderman.
I don't have a lot of Gottlieb machine experience.
It doesn't go into diagnostic mode by pressing the door button.
Is there a way to jumper the relevant pins in the backbox?
Which ones would they be? (I don't have the manual).
Unlikely the problem is in the wiring, but I'd like to try something
different than just repeatedly pressing the button and expecting
    something different to happen.

    Hi Ron,

You and your customer really need the service manual - I recommend
buying one from The Pinball Resource, they are the only authorized reproduction house for Gottlieb LLC manuals.

Then you have schematics, and service test info that you will need for checking the game out.

One problem with Gottlieb games is battery leakage! If this has happened
then the problem may be battery corrosion has reached the pins in the
plugs on the MPU so they no longer make connections. I have some tips
    here that may help:

We carry the Molex pins or you can get them at many locations.
