    I have been working on these for years, trying to figure out what kills the background music. As it stands G5 7408 IC is the bad boy more times than not. I hope this helps. George Riley

    My experience too.

    Gottlieb didn't protect the chip inputs, so I suspect they die because
    someone plugged or unplugged a board with the power on...
