Put the game into self test and run the Ball Gate Test and see what

If the gate works in self test then it is OK. You have to figure out
which switches activate it (or release it) and check those in Switch
Test. It pretty much has to be a badly adjusted, noisy, or defective
switch as the computer can control the gate as you proved in the gate test.

the strange thing is that the defect occurs only when the ball touches the switches that should activate the coil of the left ball gate, normally the defect does not manifest itself, for example it does it as in the video when the ball goes into the sensor of the Skill shoot, i have check all switch and all ok.

Is this a blade styule switch or a microswitch? If a blade style. make
sure there is an insulator between the actuator wire and the blades of
the switch - stray grounding through the ball to other metal items can
    cause weird issues.

Test the Switches using the pinball and move it exacly as it would

initially the problem was the pyramid that rose only 1 cm, then the pyramid settled on its own and the problem moved on to the "lower left ball gate"

If the gate works in self test then it is OK. You have to figure out

switch as the computer can control the gate as you proved in the gate test.

the strange thing is that the defect occurs only when the ball touches the switches that should activate the coil of the left ball gate, normally the defect does not manifest itself, for example it does it as in the video when the ball goes into the sensor of the Skill shoot, i have check all switch and all ok.

yes there is a molex plug underneath but I checked and everything is ok, I also tried to disconnect it and the problem remains.
All I can suggest at this point is to use the game's Switch Tests and check all switches related to the gate. And others around it.

You are not using the Switch Test - you are activating switches while
the game is in Play mode.

Do you have the operators manual? If so read up on how to do the built
in Switch Test. Then activate all the switches, one at a time while in
Switch Test and see if only that switch shows as activated on the
    display screen.

If you don't have the manual, then get a copy from eBay or The Pinball Resource. You will need it.

the strange thing is that the defect occurs only when the ball touches the switches that should activate the coil of the left ball gate, normally the defect does not manifest itself, for example it does it as in the video when the ball goes into the sensor of the Skill shoot, i have check all switch and all ok.
Is this a blade style switch or a microswitch? If a blade style. make
sure there is an insulator between the actuator wire and the blades of
the switch - stray grounding through the ball to other metal items can
    cause weird issues.

Test the Switches using the pinball and move it exacly as it would >>>>>>>>> during game play. Not fast, but the path the ball would take. Switch

when the ball touches the sensor of the Skill Shoot or the blade that defect happens, under the top I took a look but there don't seem to be any cables out of place, where could I check?

The second photo seems to show a Molex plug wedged under the wire ramp.
Any chance there is an electrical connection between the plug wiring and
    the wire ramp?
    John :-#)#

yes there is a molex plug underneath but I checked and everything is ok, I also tried to disconnect it and the problem remains.
All I can suggest at this point is to use the game's Switch Tests and >>>>> check all switches related to the gate. And others around it.

In switch test switch 41 "Ball Gate Sensor" is inoperative.
Then concentrate on #41. Check the wiring, does the switch register if
you move the wire and try manually moving the gate and see if the switch >> responds then.

Do all other switches work properly in Switch Test?
    John :-#)#

I John it seems that the problem is not the "A1" switch but an integrated component, could you tell me on which board the A1 switch is connected?
Sorry, stuck home with Covid, no manual handy. Will try to get an answer next week for you when I am better. Not feeling bad, just testing
    positive still.

    Hi!

I don't have a Stargate in the shop so I can't trace the wiring. Looking
at my manual I can't find where the Motor Interface Board (A28 - see
page 56) is connected to anything in the cabinet! I assume this is for
    the motor for the Pyramid...

At this point I would ask you to trace the control lines from A28-P1
back to the control boards to figure out what the control logic is. If
you can find the wire colours and where they go that will help!

Looks like Gottlieb simply forgot to document that in the Instruction Manual...and rummaging through my 1995 Service Bulletins doesn't give
any help other than the following 2 notes for Stargate: ---------------------------
    Changed page 25 and 56
    "F26" should be 2-1/2 Amp Slo-Blo Fuse, EL-21

    Changed Page 76
Spaceship and Bracket Assembly 31308 (Corrected Part Number) ---------------------------
