Folks, I am wondering if anyone can tell me what turns off the extra ball relay. I do have the schematics and can see how it is turned on but cannot figure out how it is turned off. So every time I score an extra ball it never shuts off and keeps giving balls. I have cleaned and adjusted a lot of relays including I (extra ball) AX BX U (first ball relay) J (bonus score relay) P (player advance relay) Score motor 3E. Everything seems to be fine. The game plays perfectly otherwise. This machine is strange in the fact that the trough switch is inactive during an extra ball and does not reset the targets or letters scored. Only the bonus resets.
    Thanks, Todd

I just figured this out by watching the machine in action in you tube video's. There is a switch that the ball runs over part way up the shooter lane that is normally closed and when the ball passes over it it opens and releases the extra ball relay. Mine was stuck closed so I simply actuated it with my finger and it is now working as it should!

So just for fun I have a copy of that schematic also. You said you could not find out how that relay turns off; well, it IS on the schematic, and maybe it would be a good educational opportunity for you to find it!

    Regards,
    Dan

    Hi Dan,
Thank you for taking the time to back check this for me. Now that it is fixed, I would not have gone back through the schematics like this, but im glad I did as I now see my error. I do see the runway sw on the far right. And I remember seeing it when I was origionally looking up the problem. I now see my lack of concentration as I passed the runway switch off as the trough switch, which I had already checked as working properly. I am glad it was not due to the inability of finding things on the schematcs, but rather a lapse of mental thought.
    Todd
