I checked it is definitely a bally mpu. I reflowed the solder at the
pins on the sound board but the issue remains.
I think something is going on with the right flipper. it definitely is causing the upper drop to go down sort of randomly and it also makes
the sound go " da da da Flash" when I hit the right flipper. I did not
notice it doing this sound on the pinmame when the right flipper is
    hit.
do you think this is a board issue or something shorted in the wiring.
    thx Max
I just rebuilt all the flippers on my Bally Flash Gordon & the right flipper when pushed now also makes the "da da da FLASH" sound everytime. All the boards except the squauk Talk board are brand new on my machine & there do not appear to be any shorts. Did you find the issue that caused your right flipper button to make the sound "da da da FLASH'?

Do you get the same results when you thump the playfield with your fist
with the game started and the ball removed? That is a rollover switch
that is too sensitive, and is most likely the shooter lane launch switch
    if I recall FG properly...
