What does
bash --version
say?
GNU bash, version 4.2.45(1)-release (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu)
I don't know what is going on with the rest of your upgrading, but that
is the current bash v. which was just updated on my system from current repos this evening.
Mine reads:
oslinux-alpha1:~> bash --version
GNU bash, version 4.2.47(1)-release (x86_64-suse-linux-gnu)
But there again, I'm using a different distro.
