Spring Evening Double Stars (evening)
Mid-spring evenings feature many double stars worth observing in modest-
sized telescopes, even while the moon is shining brightly. Among the best targets are the differently-colored pairs of Zubanah (Iota Cancri), Algieba (Gamma Leonis), Izar (Epsilon Bsotis), the triple star Alkalurops (Mu
Bsotis), and the matching pairs of Cor Caroli (Alpha Canum Venaticorum), Porrima (Gamma Virginis), and Mizar (Zeta Ursa Majoris).
