    Hi Guys,

    This is a long shot..

Does anyone have a Amiga 3000 "CASE" (Don't need anything else)...

My A3000 sit's naked on the bench, and I'd really love to put the old girl
    into a case.

Soo I don't have one... I'll check around though... Will the 3000 not fit,
and fit might be a bad word in an AT case?

No sign ofa 3000 case yet. You don't have any 1200 parts do you? Lid and front bezel.

There is the "Checkmate 1500 plus" case which looks like an A3000
case, but I fear that a real A3000 board won't fit inside...

I'd rather go for a real Amiga case!.. The mb layout means that hacking of
the case is required due to the laybout & ports.

The original case was a "pizza" box style small desktop case.

No my A1200 is still in it's original case! There are a number of them on
    ebay though. Clear/Grey/Black.

The only way to get a A3000 mb into those cases is with a "mod" kit, that's
not made all the time and has limited runs.

I was in contact with the maker of the kits, but the cost of the case, mod
kit plus shipping was going to push it past the $1100 AUD range... (The AUD
to English Pound conversion is sh*te).

I was just not willing to spend that type of $$ just for a case!

I can understand that, just working outside the box so to speak. I haven't
seen a 3000 in more than 25 years, I just had a recollection of slots in a similar location, and it being vaguely PC shaped. Maybe a PS2 casee?

Yes the slots due to the riser card are horizontal, and when looking from
the front are on the left. The mb width (Aprox) is 13 3/8", left depth is
13 3/8", right depth (because of coprocessor slot bump-out) is about 13 15/16". square, but bigger than EATX.
