I followed the directions to move from a46 to the newest prealpha, and it
blew up on me. Every time I tried to log off, it locked up.

So I did a full reinstall of a46, but like an idiot, I deleted the old one without keeping my ini files. So I am rebuilding again.

    Ugh..

    Backup First
Read the upgrade.txt, and follow EVERY instruction.
Sometimes an instruction may be missing or left out!

I like to check with the FTNs (fsxNet or likewise) first, to see if theres anything to 'look out' for. Especially for the first time moving to a pre-alpha.

Did I mention to BACKUP FIRST?? Always? Its easy to setup an rsync or... however your OS does backups; do so.

It's all a part of the BBS journey. Sorry that you're having to fix things; probably for the umpteenth time. UGH.

Yeah, I know. As many times as I've crashed entire computers in my life testing out new software, or forcing software to work on computers that it wasn't meant for, I should know better.

Mostly, I'm back running. A couple of FTNs packets appear to be tossing, but who knows where the mail is going, definitely not to the message areas.

    It'll work out Eventually.
