• Ghost Node

From Cozmo@21:3/135 to All on Sunday, June 16, 2024 06:54:27
I've noticed a few times that when someone downloads a file on my BBS they create a Ghost Node. Not sure if they were able to download the file or not but it shows them still on the BBS like 8 hours but they're not really on anymore. Not sure how/why this happens.

    Any Ideas?
    Thanks!

I do know if you use nodespy you can kill/kick the ghost off the node, there's an option there.

I do use nodespy to kill the ghost. I'm guessing that the caller disconnects before the file is finished downloading and is creating the ghost node. I'll have to test that out and see.
