Congrats to roovis & MeaTLoTioN on this release - it is a breathe of fresh air for MRC on Mystic software. I love playing around w/ the beta encrypted private messages; great stuff! The themes are kick butt, and while I might be a bit biased [/theme load 2oforbeers], this is a great way for sysops users' to customize MRC - I also like that sysops can set their default theme just by replacing one ANSI file.

mrcX is a great client, and I'll be st0ked to run it @ 2o - I hope other ops decide to check it out, too.

I downloaded from github and followed the instructions from the readme... should I use a different package? I'm getting 'MPL version mismatch...' when I try to execute it...

I also checked to make sure it is the arm32 binary for pi's... are mpl's backward compatible or, are they specific to a version? thanks

Do you mean to recompile it? They haven't released the source at this point... I've been running this version of a48 for a couple of months and everything compiles fine... this is the only executable I've tried that someone else compiled... What's curious to me is there must be mulitple flavours of a48, otherwise this error wouldn't occur... I didn't think g00r00 was doing that, but we'll see if MeaTLoTioN's next compiled version works or not on my board...

If by flavours, you mean a Windows version, Linux version, ARM version, and 32 and 64 bit versions of each, then yes there are all six of those. ;)

I didn't know it came as an already compiled script. Usually, to fix the
"MPL version mismatch" error you were getting is to simply recompile the scripts in your scripts directory. But yes, that would have required the
source file. I see that Meatlotion has compiled another one for you, hopefully that one works.

Interestingly no... it turns out the within a prealpha there are minor compiler versions... that was the problem I was facing... as soon as MeaTLoTioN recompiled the MPS it worked for me... who knew

There is a protocol document hosted by the bottomless abyss, StackFault runs the MRC server and created the original version of Multi Relay Chat - which itself was a fork from Mystic Relay Chat.

you need to have an already running MRC installation on your mystic bbs, this is just a new client, you still need the multiplexer set up (which isn't included in the package).
