Gonna throw this out there for those running A48, what are the issues
you are having if any?
I just updated to the newest a48 as of 9/28/2022 - with preAlphas, I see some issues as g00 builds. Yes I've seen .bsy issues, but the newer a48 were doing better @ 2o.. I'll let you know if any issues now; when on alpha, always upgrade to newest if you hit any little issues.
I have some [not great to run] kill busy scripts if getting mail is the paramount. :P

Gonna throw this out there for those running A48, what are the issues
you are having if any? I currently am having issues with my echos not tossing after a couple of mis poll forced in my events. The system if I try to run mailin.ini via the mutil command shows busy nodes. I check
the semaphore directory and it shows the poll.bsy is present. If I kill that, and try again it still shows busy nodes, I have a backup of my in and out directories and I have to kill the current directories and add back the backups and it runs fine. All directories are correct since the changeover to Debian 11. anyone else having issues like this? This sytem ran fine in Windows with no issues at all with the exception of the typical windows updates rebooting the system. Thanks in advance for any info or advice..
The latest is 7/15.. Ok glad it is not just me.. I am keeping an eye on the inbound directory and today it seems ok, I do have a poll.bsy in my semaphore directory, but everything seems to be working.. I guess I am a little touchy right now as this is a brand new install of A48 in Linux,
I was running in Windows with no issues.. Thanks Paulie..
I'm not having any of these problems, running Ubuntu 22.04 with 64 bit Mystic. You can see the complete version/date/etc along with this
message, honestly I can't remember what version I'm running and it's possible I'm a bit out of date :)

poll.bsy is a sucky one, tho - and one to watch for - because it holds
up ALL of your installed FTNs. it won't poll at all if poll.bsy is
present when it shouldn't be.
furthermore, you can watch each FTNs individual /subdir in /echomail... those are the .bsy's that get wiped with... ./mis poll killbusy (or whatever that KILLBUSY command is.)
I have just added a event to kill poll.bsy every hour, only because
after I deleted it tonight I ran a forced mail run and picked up like 4 message packets waiting for me on other boards.. I guess this is a bug
in Linux only as my Windows system did not have this issue.. The bad
part is I am forcing a delete of poll.bsy but the good part is it's a
bug and now g00r00 can track it down...
g00 has been aware, before, of .bsy issues and did a good job tracking down the bugs at the end of a47. a48 has been a bit better, but every
now and again I do have a poll.bsy hanging around...
He suggests NOT to run scripts that delete .bsy files, but I understand the desire to doso... I just did a live test, and I have no poll.bsy on 2o's system.
I suggest always bouncing to the newest build if your on an alpha, and revisiting the use of any script with each update - getting rid of it as soon as Mystic is being reliable enough. :P Hmph...

Jeez, what a time this has been, I think I finally have everything working! The GMail password reset was due to the cryptlib library, I
found a post which explained what to do to assemble it correctly and
bang that started working. SSH also started working properly. I think things are finally coming together.. Bout time!! LOL Thank you and everyone else here for all the help...
