  • Are there DOS clients that support Mystic?

    I've been playing around with various DOS clients, telix for examples, but nothing seems to work with the lightbar system... :(

    Does anyone know of any DOS clients?

    I found a copy of Frontdoor but it seems like it's just a mailer program. I couldn't set my modem past 36k which was odd. It didn't seem like the right type of program :)

    ... When cheese gets its picture taken, what does it say?

    Frontdoor also has a very nice message base interface, something like golded.

    Frontdoor is all dial-up. I'm not sure if it can be made to talk telnet but it was/is a nice terminal. It spoke IEMSI with BBSs that supported it.

    It is, otherwise I would not have advised it. I use it here locally all the time on my DOS ......

    Frontdoor indeed is a mailer, but it also has a terminal in it.
    Press Alt-J when Frontdoor is running.

    Don't bother the max bps rate of 38400. In the connect messages (modem -> default settings -> connect messages) you can add something like: message CONNECT, DCE SPEED 33600.

    If you want to use it with to dialup to internet systems, you could use RLFOSSIL. You simply dial-out with ATDT127.0.0.1 or with ALT-D to choose systems from you nodelist (if setup correctly with IP addresses ....).
