    Hi Everyone!

I'm Jared, VK2WAY, QTH is about 2km south of the Sydney Habour Bridge.

I am dipping my toe back in the BBS world it has been about 10 years since I was involved at all, and I was a SysOp back in the 90s. I've since gotten licensed and in looking at packet BBS things I decided to get nostalgic and stand up a BBS again!

More info soon, but it's only a very new install, so no point checking it out yet!

    73 for now.

Good luck on the future. Just like you...was a sysop back during the same time frame. Had another board until a year or so ago when I switched over to TMobile which doesn't allow me to configure the router to be able to run a BBS.

... Nice Planet. We'll take it

Thankfully that shouldn't become an issue for my setup, I'm currently running it on vultr alongside my radio infrastructure (I'm the Aussie SysOp for FreeDMR and run a bunch of transcoding bridges and multi-mode conferences), so that cloud infrastructure isn't going anywhere anytime soon - especially as several repeaters are coming online.

Very nice setup! Oregon is a nice state...but living outside of Corvallis/Portland/Eugene/Salem...feels like being in the past. For instance...had DSL before with the regional phone company...but because I live in a rural area...could only get 3MB DL/768K UL with a 1 TB data cap. Got a chance to get on a 5G cell network with unlimited data & speeds almost unrealistic compared to anything else.

Being the only TV available (other than public TV)...is by streaming. With these speeds...can watch 4K feeds & without lags like I had with DSL.

... I'm not a complete idiot, some of the parts are missing!

Fancy seeing you here Jared. :) Just getting back on the boards myself. The Pride Network project delayed my return as well, but that's been well worth the time spent. :)

Haha I'm very familiar with your setup, as you are with mine. FOr everyone else, I have a major multimode conference linked to Jared's system, as part of a global network. We use a unique architecture for the network.
