I'm looking forward to lighting season, as I have lots of lights for my house this year and have permanent hooks painted to blend in along my roofline.
Nice! I really just have a room, so I'm limited in the ways I can decorate. Though I'll probably look for the light-up-blocks thing again this year, and building something new.
...that didn't make much sense. But imagine legos that light up when you plug them into other legos. But different brand. Stax. The blocks are compatible with lego, though, so possible to attach non-lit blocks to these, too.
Anyway, last year I bought a Christmas tree, where it was an Advent calendar. So you didn't get the full Christmas tree until Christmas Eve, but got a new piece to add on each day. And I found that to be fun.
But those are the sorts of things I've tended to have, over the last couple of years.
We re-did our storage space, lowering the floor a good foot or so,
giving me 6'3" of height (and I'm 6'2"). Before, I'd need to crouch into
a drafty space to reach the decorations. Now it's a full walk-in space sealed and finished.
That sounds _so_ much better. Takes so much more energy to walk and crouch while trying to grab things. Though, with only an inch of clearance, I imagine you'll still find ways to bump things.
But _so_ much better than when you had -11 inches of clearance.
(Oh, and on the test I did, I guess it worked, and I think my user just had the wrong menu option. So fingers crossed that there is no problem, and perhaps I'll re-arrange menu options if that's a better solution.)
