• How Many of you are...

From claw@21:1/210 to All on Friday, June 03, 2022 07:55:39
    Good Day everyone!

How many of you try to make to the the Friday weekly meet up on MRC? How many of you don't even know what MRC is? If you don't know what MRC is I urge you to connect to any BBS that has it and try it! Every Friday There is a get together on there for people from all over the world. Its a pretty fun time to get to see everyone you message with in live chat. Its called the Gravy train because there is a stream (if your computer can do it) that has classic Mod music playing and the chat in the background.

MeaTLoTion is kind enough to present this every week!

Please give it a shot and join in the chat, or lurk being present counts!

If you don't know any boards with MRC *shameless plug incoming* My BBS does have it and you can connect on the standard ports @noverdu.com or via the web @noverdu.com:808

    Hope to see you there.

I've heard of MRC, but I was unaware that there was a Friday weekly meetup on it.

Yes, I've been there at least twice now. The music is real nice. mL multistreams the MRC on Odysee and Twitch. You should come if you got the time.

If you're running Synchronet, there's a basic MRC client in the /xtrn direcrtory.

I do like to drop in on the Meatup when I get a chance. There are a fair
amount of regulars, and even the irregulars are oftentimes people you'd see here.

And it's generally a good time. It's a different experience, and a fun one -- at least for anyone into BBSing, as I kinda figure we all are.

Only rough bit is that I have to a) remember to attend and b) generally have
to be in Germany, as the early-afternoon time frame tends to be a bit more challenging when I'm working in the US (as I am now).

But as long as MeatLotion keeps hosting, I'll keep popping in from time to time.

Most of my meetups happen in the evening, and there's alcohol involved. it's
a little challenging since the MRC meetups happen at 1pm my time during the workday. :)
