Back in April, Google delayed when G Suite legacy free-edition users
had to start paying for Workspace. The company will now let you stay on
a "Free Legacy Edition of G Suite for personal use" as the "no-cost" alternative in a rather notable policy change.
I lost my account 10 years ago, when Google offered a 30-day trial of
their paid service. fskcers didn't make a way to revert back to the
free account at the end of the trial.

I cancelled entirely. I've had enough of Google, not just for this reason. I've got one very old gmail address I wish I could move to another server. I'm going to unwind that over the next year and I'll
be free of this miserable company.
What a terrible way they've evolved over time.

I've used Google at home for years, like the integration
into Android, but, yeah.
I have a discounted Microsoft365 account ($69/year for 5
accounts, 1tb storage each, and Office 365 - what I didn't
realize is that it also includes full Outlook support.
That ends up being seriously cheaper than Google's plans,
and as I'm a serious Outlook user at work it's tempting to
make the switch.
