Anyone have a copy they want to sell?
I see it on ebay but I don't know any of them. I thought maybe someone from BBS land could point me in the right direction?

Diablo 3 is online only. So you can still get it directly from Battle.net. Many of the Blizzard games are now also on Steam.

Thanks but I'm seeing used DVD's on ebay. Not sure if it's OK to buy. Are they legit? Will these games still work? I know I can buy from battle.net or blizzard but it's 30 or 40 bucks. I'm not a hard core gamer so the price

I have a box and when i tried to install it, it was connected with battle.net account and I still can play it, even though I don't know where I stashed the box anymore.

I believe D3 functions more like download code on Steam, it's just on Blizzard's native platform. Not sure if somebody can resell this game legally and easily.

As stated in my previous post, I believe these boxes are useless, unless they are for the gaming consoles, perhaps.

Diablo is not on Steam. It's only on battle.net. Diablo 3 is from 2012. I have no idea what was used for copy protection. Is there a CD/DVD key for these games I see for sale?. I have a battle.net account. Anyway..I purchased an unused DVD on ebay last night for 10 bucks. I'll let everyone know if it works or if I'm out 10 bucks. Nobody has kids, niece, nephew, grandkids that are gamers? Diablo sold millions of copies and still selling. Somebody must know something about the Diablo franchise. I've been out of the loop for a long time. If the game needs to pull data from servers it must require some kind of security. I just don't know what it is. ;-) Any info will be greatly appreciated. Damn!! I keep getting intrupted with users loggin in an out. ACK!

I didn't mean it is. I meant it's distributed like Steam just on Battle.net. Meaning, even if you buy DVD, basically all you bought is a download code. if it was used already then it's most likely 10 bucks lost, but I'm curious if perhaps I may be mistaken.

Here is the risk the code unlocks the game on battle.net anyway. So buying a used copy unless its sealed and unused you just getting the physical copy. The game has changes so much it will not save you any download time.

I'm curious now. Let me know if you find one that actually works.

The biggest gripe I heard from my friends was that there was NO offline game play. You HAD to have an internet connection for it validate your copy every time you played.

Good Luck. D3 was fun. Its very Arcade like so plan on that. D4 goes back to the roots and is more like 2 was. In fact the most recent update really makes it go back to the roots of 2. It is however an MMO no.

100% with the old d2 I can actually host a private Battle.net server and play with my friends. We did this for a bit before D2R came out and even had bots that would farm for goodies for us. Then you could buy what you needed. Not everyone has 1000's of hours to run the same dungeon over and over.

I finally got a Diablo 3 DVD and has I suspected it's Junk. Battle.net did not accept it. I finally paid 21 bucks for it and dled it off their webpage. I had to laugh, two weeks after a purchased it the game went on sale for $9.99 for black friday. Live and learn. Now after a battle.net update the game is not running at all. I have to uninstall and reinstall battle.net everytime I want to play. I won't be messing with online games anymore that's for sure.
