I'm curious if anyone knows of a telnet client for BBS's
that will see a web address in the output to screen and
allow us to click on that address to open a browser.
Does such a beast exist?
I use SyncTerm currently which works great but I'm
always seeing links and I never go to the links because
its too much of a pain to get them to a browser.
SyncTerm won't even let me copy and paste text from the
screen.

IcyTerm does this: https://github.com/mkrueger/icy_tools/blob/master/icy_term/README.md
Icyterm does exactly that.

Something happened to icy_term on my computer. I'm not sure if a windows update broke it or if I have hardware failing. Under linux it segfaults and the windows version (I assume) does the same as it never opens.

Try deleting the setup file, if you can find it. I had a similar
issue and that fixed it. It won't delete any of your connections, but will default thigns like the background.

version 0.7.5 fixed it for me: https://github.com/mkrueger/icy_tools/releases/tag/IcyTerm0.7.5

Just grabbed this version, no difference just doesn't launch on windows and the linux version seg faults.

Windows 11. It was working, then it jhust stopped. I did notice a
windows update had happened too. Who knows?
SyncTerm won't even let me copy and paste text from the screen.
It does me. Left-click at beginning of text, hold down left button while moving mouse to highlight text, then let up the mouse button.
Highlighted text is copied to clipboard.
If he's connected to a Mystic Board that won't work. I'm using the
Windows Version of Syncterm.
Something with the mouse and Mystic.
Take a look at Blocker:

I would imagine that would happen connecting to a Synchronet board too. I believe both softwares capture the mouse on connect, which makes copy/pasting not possible unless you disable that feature.
In the latest builds of SyncTERM v1.2b, just hit Alt-O to override the mouse capture of the BBS. Or hit Alt-B to copy from the scroll-back buffer. Either works great (Mystic or otherwise).

I don't connect to many boards, but they are all Synchronet boards and it works for me. I suppose the SysOps have mouse capture disabled.

After seeing dm's message, it seems that I either disabled mouse capture or never enabled it.
I'm still slowly catching up. I have no idea why I'd want a BBS to capture my mouse activity. ;)

It shouldn't be able to segfault unless something very low level
happens. Which GFX card do you use? Which version was the last working
one?
A very old one (let's say 0.2.4) may support a wider range of
hardware. The recent ones are all using shader code for rendering. The
next time I rework the graphics code I'll work on implementing a
fallback.
