    Hey there,

I'm curious if anyone knows of a telnet client for BBS's that will see a web address in the output to screen and allow us to click on that address to open a browser. Does such a beast exist?

I use SyncTerm currently which works great but I'm always seeing links and I never go to the links because its too much of a pain to get them to a browser. SyncTerm won't even let me copy and paste text from the screen.

I don't have an answer for this but I am interested also.

    screen.

If you connect to a BBS that captures the mouse, then SyncTerm will pass the mouse controls to the BBS (so copying text is disabled). You can press Alt-B to enter scrollback mode, which will allow you to select text with the mouse (selected text is automatically copied to the clipboard), and Esc exits scrollback mode.

I don't know if there's a way to paste back into SyncTerm on BBSes that capture the mouse, but at least it's possible to copy from SyncTerm using the scrollback buffer.

    Take a look at Blocker:

You can't click on the link, but you can open any link in your Browser, just with the keyboard... no need to use a mouse ;)

It can also open any other type of link, magnet, torrent, gopher, email etc. Blocker uses Regular Expressions to scan for links/data you specify and opens an associated program, that you have chose.

Blocker looks great! Some really cool ideas you've implemented, being able to add/modify regex to find links, and the interface to "click" links only using the keyboard is great. The support to run as a door is also very cool! A lot of neat features to explore.

Something happened to icy_term on my computer. I'm not sure if a windows update broke it or if I have hardware failing. Under linux it segfaults and the windows version (I assume) does the same as it never opens.

It shouldn't be able to segfault unless something very low level happens. Which GFX card do you use? Which version was the last working one?

A very old one (let's say 0.2.4) may support a wider range of hardware. The recent ones are all using shader code for rendering. The next time I rework the graphics code I'll work on implementing a fallback.

happens. Which GFX card do you use? Which version was the last working

It's a laptop with AMD Ryzen and Radeon graphics. (No other information is
in windows). It seems to run most games I thow at it.

hardware. The recent ones are all using shader code for rendering. The

I'll check a few versions back... At one point I could have sworn I had the current version working in both Windows and the WSL install I have, but now neither work.
