    Hello All,

    Anyone experimenting with solar power on their set ups?

    I just switched over to and am running my Pi off a 38800mAh solar power bank. I'm not sure the solar cell will keep up. It seems a bit of false advertising when in the box there's a slip that reads.
    "The solar charging results may not be as positive as you might expect due to the small size of the solar panel on this device... We recommend using a 5v 1A wall charger to charge this power bank."
    So that's pretty crummy, but I'm going to give it a go anyhow and see what comes.

    powered. There are links describing the process, the downsides and
    advantages, and their method of trying different sized batteries and
    panels.

    I have a shed that's far enough away from the house that I need to
    trench to it to get power. It's never really *needed* power, but we've
    been thinking about it. I'm tempted to get a battery/panel combination
    to run a small fan and table lamp, and leave a running Pi in there with
    a wifi connection and a web site.
