However, if I use /NOFROM, and post a message from myself to myself (e.g. as new user registrations do), it will tell me that I have a message when scanning, but won't display it for viewing when i choose to read the new messages.

The docs state that /NOFROM should only mean that "Mystic will only look at the To field when scanning for new personal messages (instead of both To and From)". Possible bug?

A work-around would perhaps be to include a "MC /UNREAD" command, too, in the prelogin menu, to catch (or rather make it possible to read) those "e-mails"... I think I'll do that for now.

I added this to my PRELOGIN menu to do just that when logging in:

Action List Access Data
(-N) Ask Yes/No (default N s20 |CR|07Scan for new personal messages?
(MN) Message new scan s20&OK /G /P /NOLR /NOFROM /NOREAD


Using this, it will ask me if I want to scan for new messages, and if I do, it will show me all new messages addressed to me, but not update the message pointers.

Thanks for sharing this. I think instead of using it at prelogin, I'll make it a hidden command just for me.
