• World Series: Dodgers vs. Yankees

From Digital Man@VERT to All on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 18:20:03
This is the matchup that MLB was hoping for, I'm sure.

Are you going to be watching? Who are you rooting for?

The Dodgers were my first favorite MLB team (when I was like 7 years old), so I'll be rooting for them. I'm happy for Ohtani, but still bitter/bummed that he couldn't be doing this with the Angels.

    Looking forward to Friday,

Oh yes. The merchandise and TV revenue is going to be massive.

Are you going to be watching? Who are you rooting for?

I'll be watching, as I always do. The second question is difficult for
me, and easy at the same time...

I'm a lifelong Red Sox fan, so I *cannot* root for the Yankees. That's
the easy part, and is ironclad.

I'm generally not a National League team fan. Also, the Dodgers are the
NL equivalent of the Skanks^H^H^H^H^H^H Yankees, as in the way they
*ahem* purchase what they need to win. As in buying a Pennant. So that bothers me some.

But... I think Ohtani is a once-in-a-lifetime quality of a ballplayer,
and I can't help but like him. I'm happy to be able to watch him some
    more.

So... I'll be pulling for the Dodgers, begrudgingly. I hope they sweep
it in 4 games, but I don't expect that to happen. I'll say Dodgers in
    six.

The Dodgers were my first favorite MLB team (when I was like 7 years
old), so I'll be rooting for them. I'm happy for Ohtani, but still bitter/bummed that he couldn't be doing this with the Angels.

ACK. Not sure why the Angels didn't/haven't done better.

    Looking forward to Friday,

    Me too, for several reasons!

... I was wondering why the baseball was getting bigger. Then it hit me.

I'll be rooting for the Dodgers as well, but admittedly only because I'm bitter about the Guardians falling to the Yankees. :D

It was - good pitching and defense and an exiting ending. Go Dodgers (but in seven)!

Yup. And every game was exciting (if not exiting). :-)

    Congrats to your Dodgers!

Fans of some teams are pretty much bent on distruction no matter whether
their team wins or loses, unfortunately. I think all teams probably have a
few fans like that, but some teams seem to have more than others.

I've always felt that the worst thing about sports like this are the fans. That's why i've played those sports in the past but i never followed 'professional' sports. I can't stand to be around those fans.
