The garbage man usually makes great pay. You're thinking of the custodian at Wal-Mart. Or the janitor at your friendly local retailer or entertainment venue.

why do you think janitors and custodians dont make good pay?
and why do you think garbage men make 'great pay'?

my coworker is working for the company i was doing PT work at and he makes 20 bucks and only works 2 hours and gets paid for 4.

in the big city i live in most garbage men make 24.6-44.7k per year.
44k isnt really great money.

some make more but those are flukes.

I've never earned above the poverty line, so my first IT Job I landed with the Feds, I was making $16 an hour. I was offered a promotion to a supervisor and I tunred it down because the jump to $19 an hour didn't represent a significant enough change in my financial wellbeing for the added responsability and work load. I ended up with the nick name "Big Lobster" because I tried to explain to my coworkers about how lobsters fight each other, and how the big lobster flexes and becomes bigger.I was telling them at this job making that pay I was Big Lobster because for the first time in years I had 4 didgets in my bank account.

Needless to say I went on to continue to make an ass of myself and then got subsequently shit canned. I wasn't a very big lobster on that day.

Since then I've reverted to being a hermit shut in and refuse to participate in society. It's pretty fucking great doing nothing all day.

My point in all of this being, I'm sure with a higher cost of living in a major city like NYC, Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, LA, or wherever, you're not gonna get very far even on 30k.

I've heard Pittsburg is cheap as hell though. Flights area also as cheap as $30.
